My entry for =karemelancholia's Peace Contest. Here's my explanation:

Why do we continue to demand political leaders, presidents and commanders to stop all wars, when we ourselves are fighting with our friends, family, strangers? What point is it that our country's leaders struggle to grant happiness to us, when we turn to drugs, alcohol, and sex for that? We force soldiers to bring down their guns and swords, while our own hearts throw daggers at others. We tell famous people to work for the greater good, but we simply sit and watch them. The way to world peace is not to tell the sword to stop killing people, but bring it down and let your own hand drop it.
